This is not a social network. Your offering is not made public. Displaced people don’t post a photo and a profile for you to choose from.
When you sign up and tell us how many people you can host and for how long, we coordinate with grassroots groups doing disaster relief and mutual aid work in your region to match your offering with peoples’ needs.
Before anyone comes to stay, a representative of the solidarity network will set up a time to visit your property and answer any questions you may have.
For longer term use of vacant homes, vacant buildings, and land, we prefer to sign lease agreements to protect both parties. Offering the use of your land means allowing for safe, livable structures to be built and for crops to be grown in a sustainable, regenerative way.
